About

The Pocket Symphony Orchestra have been making music for over a decade. Beginning in 2012, what started out as a solo project, by frontman Barry Walker, quickly became a new band, formed with his life-long friend and musical collaborator, Darren Leeder. The two of them recorded the band’s debut album and then over time have recruited various members to the band, including current members Jake Day and Adam Wildman.

2025 sees the band begin an ambitious project, to revisit their songbook – a tome which contains hundreds of songs, written over the course of over 25 years – and find the lost treasures. There are many great ideas which were left unheard, unfinished, unreleased, unloved, for too long and they want to share them with the world. They are calling this project ‘Patchwork Memories’, referring to the nature of taking patches of ideas and sewing them into something new.

The first 11 of these will be released throughout 2025, starting with ‘Say Something’ on 28th February.
